Who are the children of Abraham? You might be surprised.

Galatians 3 says,

6 Consider Abraham:  He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. 7 Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. 8 The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham:  “All nations [nationalities] will be blessed through you.” [Genesis 12:3]  9 So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. Only those who walk by faith, as Abraham did, and rely on God’s righteousness, rather than their own, share in the promises that God made to Abraham.

The point Paul is making simply put is God has not changed since the days he walked with Abraham. He has always accepted a person solely on the basis of their faith in Him. (Hebrews 13:8)
